We’re an independent collective of people that aims at promoting reggae culture by organising cultural events, producing original music, releasing records and performing to the masses.

The collective started out in Ireland and ran its first gig in October 2007 and hasn’t looked back since, hosting tents at festivals, running a reggae film club and running sessions all over Ireland and more recently in Bristol and London, where they are based since 2012.

They have since worked with some of the most renowned musicians on the international scene as well as featured at major festivals and various club nights around Europe and beyond.

In 2013, Roots Factory Records, the associated record label, was born, with the first release selling out within weeks of coming out and getting support and airplay by the likes of David Rodigan on the BBC, DJ Stryda on his legendary Sufferah’s Choice show and many more. The records also get solid exposure in the dance with regular selections from veteran sounds such as Jah Shaka, Iration Steppas, Channel One Sound System and Blackboard Jungle to name a few…

Our dubplate sublabel is equally as successful, with our very limited batches of acetate usually selling out within hours of release and getting shipped around the world to avid collectors.

From rocksteady to the most futuristic dubs, from early dancehall to modern roots, we love it and play it all.

We also play a variety of exclusive dubplates from all eras but you’ll have to come and see us play to hear those…
